Domain Registration

Register or transfer .com, .net, .com.tr and other domains. Registered in your name, with a real person keeping an eye on renewals.

Search and register a domain

Your domain is your address on the internet: your website and your e-mail run on it. Registering one takes five minutes. Losing one can undo years of work. Here is what’s worth knowing.

Which extension?

  • .com is the best known worldwide and the first choice if you work internationally.
  • .com.tr tells customers in Türkiye you’re a local business, and no longer needs documents.
  • .net, .org and others are good options if the .com is taken, or to protect your brand.

Practical tip: register both .com and .com.tr for your brand and redirect one to the other. It also stops someone else from e-mailing your customers from a look-alike address.

Watch out for fake “domain expiry” notices

Domain owners regularly receive official-looking e-mails or letters from companies they’ve never dealt with: “your domain will be deleted”, “your search engine listing expires”. The aim is to move your domain to them or to charge you for something useless.

The rule is simple: your renewal invoice only comes from the company you registered the domain with. If in doubt, ask us before clicking anything.

Why kalfaoglu.net?

We’ve been providing domains and hosting since 1993. Your domain is registered in your name and you control it. When something goes wrong you reach the person who builds and runs the systems, not a call centre. If you’d like your website and business e-mail in the same place, see our Linux hosting plans.

Frequently asked questions

Can I transfer my domain to you from another registrar?
Yes. Get the transfer code (EPP/auth code) from your current registrar, unlock the domain, and place the transfer order in our panel. For most extensions a transfer adds one year to the registration, so you don’t lose the time you’ve already paid for. If you get stuck, write to us.
Do I need documents to register a .com.tr domain?
No. .com.tr domains are now given to the first applicant without documents. If your company owns the .com version of its name, register the .com.tr as well before someone else does.
Who owns the domain?
You do. It is registered in your name and you manage it from the control panel. You can get the transfer code and move it elsewhere at any time; we don’t put obstacles in the way.
Can I register just the domain and host elsewhere?
Yes. Point the DNS records wherever you like. Keeping website and e-mail in one place does mean one contact when something goes wrong, though.
What happens if my domain expires?
Your website and e-mail stop working first. There is a short grace period for renewal; after that the domain is released and anyone can register it. Renewal reminders go to your registered e-mail address, so keep it up to date.
